  • Description: The production of EHM with undifferentiated murine embryonic stem cells was improved and stabilized by multiple factors (Matrigel-free culture, supplementation of ascorbic acid, culture conditions). Cardiogenesis of undifferentiated mES cells in EHM culture or EB culture shows great similiarity during development. Concerning the maturation of the heart tissue the EHM culture proves to be cleary advanced compared to the EB culture. Compared to native myokardium EHM seem to be similar to perinatal myokardium.
