  • Abstract: <p>A novel 1D polymeric copper(<sc>ii</sc>) complex of formula {[Cu(<sc>l</sc>-Arg)<sub>2</sub>(μ-4,4′-bpy)]Cl<sub>2</sub>·3H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>∞</sub>} was synthesized and characterized using X-ray diffraction, FT-IR, Raman, electron paramagnetic resonance and NIR-<italic>vis</italic>-UV spectroscopy, and its microbiological properties were analyzed.</p>
