  • Beschreibung: Sustainability Transition challenges public authorities, public decision-makers and public policies. Indeed, more than a single policy instrument is likely to be required to achieve Sustainability Transition targets. Policy researchers have understudied rationales and approaches for policy mixes and the complexities of policy interactions. This article addresses two fundamental questions about policy mixes' success: Are the policy mixes for Sustainable Transitions coherent regarding verticality and horizontality? Do they generate an alignment in their trajectory over time regarding learning and directionality? We attempt to answer these questions by analyzing the maritime transport decarbonization case study in Norway. The findings demonstrate a solid coherence in the strategies yielded by the Norwegian government during the last decade to achieve the decarbonization target
