  • Description: As part of the applied business studies course at Swanlea School in east London, students are encouraged to establish and run their own mini-enterprise companies. These companies are run like professional businesses but the students require assistance to run them. Staffs across the curriculum, from woodwork teachers to experienced business staff, encourage pupils to appreciate what it takes to run a business. However, in a busy secondary school, the staff can't manage all this on their own. They enlist the help of other companies and individuals to help bring the pupils companies to fruition. This programme follows two of the companies in action at Swanlea School, showing how it is possible to inspire pupils to become entrepreneurs
