In “De jure naturae et gentium,” the most important textbook of natural rights of his era, Samuel Pufendorf (1632–1694) offered philosophical, theological, and historical grounding for his doctrines of the persona moralis and the social nature of man. In this volume of materials, Frank Böhling includes essays on Pufendorf’s biography along with detailed commentary on the eight books that comprise this work (Volumes 4.1 and 4.2 of our edition).
Samuel Pufendorf (1632-1694) hat in De jure naturae et gentium, dem wichtigsten Lehrbuch des Naturrechts in seiner Epoche, seine Doktrinen von der persona moralis und von der Soziabilität des Menschen philosophisch, theologisch und historisch begründet. Frank Böhling legt in seinem Materialienband neben Beiträgen zu Pufendorfs Biographie den Stellenkommentar zu den acht Büchern dieses Werkes (Bände 4.1 und 4.2 unserer Ausgabe) vor.
