In diesem Buch werden aktuelle Aspekte und Themengebiete der Luftfahrtpsychologie behandelt. Die Themenauswahl orientiert sich dabei am Programm der "International Summer School on Aviation Psychology", die im Sommer 2009 in Graz veranstaltet wurde. Vorträge und Präsentationen dieser Summer School sollen durch diese Publikation zum einen den TeilnehmerInnen der Summer School, zum anderen einem größeren InteressentInnenkreis zugänglich gemacht werden. Entsprechend der internationalen Ausrichtung des Themas ist das Buch in englischer Sprache verfasst.
K. Wolfgang Kallus is a full professor of Work, Organizational and Environmental Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the Karl-Franzens-University in Graz, Austria and Director of the ‘Institut für Begleitforschung’ [Institute for Evaluation Research] in Würzburg, Germany/Graz, Austria. Wolfgang has initiated the International Summer School on Aviation Psychology in Graz in 2003 and is a member of various scientific societies, president elect of ‘Psychophysiology in Ergonomics’ (PIE) and the chairman of the Austrian Aviation Psychology Association (AAPA). He has led a couple of research projects in Aviation Psychology addressing Human Factors in ATM as well as in the cockpit.
