Das Münchener Abkommen war der Auftakt zur Zerstörung der Tschechoslowakei und der nationalsozialistischen Okkupationspolitik, dynamisierte bestehende Revisionsansprüche und konfrontierte alle europäischen Mächte mit der Herausforderung des Hitler-Regimes. Historiker aus Deutschland, Tschechien, der Slowakei, Frankreich, Großbritannien, Italien, Polen, Ungarn und Russland analysieren die europäischen Zusammenhänge des Abkommens.
The Munich Agreement was the prelude to the destruction and occupation of Czechoslovakia. It fueled existing German demands for border revision and confronted all of the European powers with the reality of Hitler’s regime. Historians from Germany, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, the UK, Poland, Hungary, and Russia analyze the European ramifications of the Agreement.
