Die Arbeit rekonstruiert im ersten Teil die Rezeption der aristotelischen Poetik" und die Genese des Begriffes der Fiktion. Im zweiten Teil zeichnet sie die Geschichte des Begriffes der Inspiration nach, der um 1500 noch als göttliche Äußerung verstanden, im Laufe des 16. und 17. Jahrhunderts aber zur spezifischen Begabung des Dichters umgedeutet wurde. Anfang des 18. Jahrhunderts entsteht daraus der Begriff des Genies. Während die Fiktionalität zum definierenden Merkmal des Romans wird, erwächst die spezifisch inspirierte Schreibweise zum Charakteristikum der Lyrik.
In the first section the study reconstructs the reception of Aristotle's Treatise on Poetry and the genesis of the concept of fiction. In the second part it reconstructs the history of the concept of inspiration, which around 1500 was still understood to be divine expression, but which in the course of the 16th and 17th century was reinterpreted to mean the specific talent of the poet.
