Trading with second hand goods has developed into an important sector of the economy. So far, however, research has largely neglected this trend. The authors examine the structures and market segments of European second-hand enterprises. Based on the qualification requirements that they ascertained, they develop a vocational education profile in order to give an adequate qualification to people working in the second hand sector.
