InhaltsübersichtDivine Kingdom: On the Ideology and Theology of the Septuagint Arie van der Kooij: Theocracy and Aristocracy: On divine kingship and royal priesthood in the Septuagint (Pentateuch and Isaiah) – Hans Ausloos: The Book of Deuteronomy and the Ideal King Divine Kingdom and Kingdoms of Men: From Language, Ideology and Religion to the Theology of the Septuagint Anssi Voitila: Middle voice in the speech of and about God's power and dominion over the creation in the Greek Pentateuch – Gillian Mary Clare Bonney: The concepts of heavenly and earthly kingship and kingdoms as reflected in the exegesis of Gregory of Nyssa of Numbers 21:4–9 – Mario Cimosa: Βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ βασίλεια τῶν ἀνθρώπων especially in some Psalms of the LXX concerning King David – Kristin De Troyer: Divine Kingdom in the Book of Esther, Addition D – Christoph Elsas: Convergences of Zoroastrian kingship from heaven and Jewish kingdom of God versus Hellenistic kingship – Helen Efthimiadis-Keith: Anamnesis and Apocatastasis: A Jungian Interpretation of the Eschaton and the Kingdom of God in the Book of Tobit – Gert J. The study of the Septuagint's language can only bring about true recognition of its particular theological significance when the idea of exchange between Hebrew and Greek language and thought in the classical and Hellenistic period is so defined that it becomes the guideline and core of all Septuagint research. To bring about the most profound change possible in how the world of faith in the Septuagint is studied, this volume focuses on the terminology and concepts of divine and human realms by comparing pertinent Septuagint texts with Masoretic text and placing them in their religious-historical, philological and philosophical settings.Survey of contentsDivine Kingdom: On the Ideology and Theology of the Septuagint Arie van der Kooij: Theocracy and Aristocracy: On divine kingship and royal priesthood in the Septuagint (Pentateuch and Isaiah) – Hans Ausloos: The Book of Deuteronomy and the Ideal King Divine Kingdom and Kingdoms of Men: From Language, Ideology and Religion to the Theology of the Septuagint Anssi Voitila: Middle voice in the speech of and about God's power and dominion over the creation in the Greek Pentateuch – Gillian Mary Clare Bonney: The concepts of heavenly and earthly kingship and kingdoms as reflected in the exegesis of Gregory of Nyssa of Numbers 21:4–9 – Mario Cimosa: Βασιλεία τοῦ Θεοῦ καὶ βασίλεια τῶν ἀνθρώπων especially in some Psalms of the LXX concerning King David – Kristin De Troyer: Divine Kingdom in the Book of Esther, Addition D – Christoph Elsas: Convergences of Zoroastrian kingship from heaven and Jewish kingdom of God versus Hellenistic kingship – Helen Efthimiadis-Keith: Anamnesis and Apocatastasis: A Jungian Interpretation of the Eschaton and the Kingdom of God in the Book of Tobit – Gert J.
