In a clinical prospective study, the retest reliability of the DSI and the Jitter of 76 healthy adult subjects were measured in two separate measurements with a time interval of one to a maximum of seven days. Two new methods for determining Jitter according to Brockmann-Bauser et al. and Choi et al. were examined. The retest reliability of the DSI and the Jitter could not be significantly improved by a Jitter determination at 80 dB(A) and by the “Moving-Window-Method”. Therefore, both methods cannot be generally recommended. The critical difference of the DSI was 2.1 with a maximum interval of one week between the measurements. The critical difference, from which two DSI measurements on the same subject can be regarded as different, was lower in this study than in other publications.
