  • Description: This thesis is meant to further the applicability of metagenomics in One Health by discussing key forms of standardization, as well as targeted applications. Metagenomics is a powerful pathogen-agnostic tool, allowing for broad-range non-targeted detection of microorganisms. This is especially useful for application in One Health investigations to detect known and unknown microorganisms in animals, humans and the environment.
