Knowledge of the normal distribution of optic nerve parameters is an important prerequisite for the detection of pathological changes. The morphology of the papilla shows a great interindividual variability. The aim of this work was to determine normal values of the papilla nervi optici for the population of north-eastern Germany (SHIP Trend-0 cohort). Furthermore, it was examined whether anthropometric or somatometric parameters have an influence on optic nerve morphology.
