  • Description: A propaganda film about the major rebellion in Tibet in 1959 put down by the Chinese authorities

Framed as a betrayal of the Motherland, footage includes decrees 'inciting' the people and photographs of people supposedly mutilated by the rebels for assisting the Chinese. The film explains that the Dalai Lama has been abducted and accuses Tibetan fighters of ignoring the precepts of Buddhism to hoard foreign weapons. Later scenes, filmed after the defeat of the rebellion, features the 10th Panchen Lama, escorted by Chinese military personnel, scenes of children in school, peasants being lectured on Party policy and celebratory marches in China
