Description:
Fact-based Soviet propaganda film which follows Vladimir Lenin, his enemies and his closest allies in the period leading up to the Russian Civil War
This fictionalised feature film is set after the events of the October Revolution, and includes political discussions between key Bolsheviks such as Lenin and Maxim Gorky, along with several large-scale battle scenes. A rousing speech given by Lenin in a factory is followed by a dramatisation of the attempt made on his life by Fanny Kaplan. Other scenes include an announcement of the Tsar's death, the leader's slow recovery and, in a lighter moment, Lenin imitating his protective doctor
