In this article, Costa starting from primary fonts states the practice ofprayer has a very important place in Calvin’s thought. He analyzes the relation between Scripture and prayer demonstrating that Calvin’s theologicalthought is permeated with the conviction that the Scriptures are the basefor prayer, and that the true theology must serve Christian piety. He con-cludes that Calvin is a Scripture disciple in the School of the Holy Spirit.
