Description:
The article makes an approximation to the consolidation period of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) within Catholicism in Colombia. The used methodology consisted of documental review and interviews to the charismatic leaders and believers from the studied communities. It can be identified that this organization changed from a system of interaction entrenched by charismatic experiences related to ecumenism and social ministry in the 1970’s to its consolidation as an institutionalized religious organization of the New Religious Movement type (NRM) within the Catholic Church that regulated charismatic practices and beliefs through new forms of government, dogmatic dispositions, and new rituals.
