Korean Abstract: 신남방지역에서 한국기업의 수주규모는 2018년 10월 기준 98.9억 달러(전체 수주액의 40.9%)를 기록해 85.7억 달러를 수주한 중동(35.5%)을 넘어 최대 수주처로 부상했다. 이러한 성과는 건설 수요가 높은 신남방지역에서 정상 순방을 계기로 인프라 분야 의제 채택, 고위급 협력채널 가동 등 민관합동 수주지원을 위해 노력한 결과이다. 또한 한국정부는 2022년까지 1억 달러 규모의 한·아세안 글로벌인프라펀드를 신규 조성하는 등 신남방국가에서의 인프라 수주지원 기반을 강화하여 신남방지역 인프라 진출이 확대되도록 지원할 계획이다. 이러한 정부의 지원노력이 실효적인 성과를 내기 위해서는 현지 진출 한국기업의 경영실태를 제대로 파악할 필요가 있다. 본 연구는 이러한 수요에 대응하기 위해 진행되었다
English Abstract: This study aims to prepare the way for Korean infrastructure construction companies to enter the ASEAN infrastructure market which is growing in line with the rise of the ASEAN economy. To this end, the study examines the characteristics of ASEAN infrastructure markets and each countries' development plans and efforts to improve ASEAN connectivity taking place in the background. In addition, it provides implications for Korea by comparing the support strategies of Korea with those of Japan and China for entering the ASEAN infrastructure markets. The study also identified difficulties by surveying the management practices of Korean construction companies operating in the ASEAN infrastructure markets. The lessons learned from the companies' inroad into the business were summarized and government's support policies were also analyzed based on them. Finally, based on these analyses, we provide policy suggestions for the Korean government
