  • Description: This paper presents and analyzes the main factors that influence the entrepreneurial intentions of the Romanian students. The study involved both an extensive investigation of the specialized literature and an empirical research, conducted on a sample of 682 Romanian students. After the statistical testing, most of the research hypotheses were confirmed. The results of our research underline the fact that education, gender and personality traits (propensity to take risks, innovativeness and need for achievement) influence the entrepreneurial intentions of the Romanian students. Moreover, it was noticed that those who have or had an entrepreneurial model in their family or among their close friends are more likely to start a new business in the next two to three years
