  • Description: Today, knowledge management (KM) has become a competitive necessity in organizations and many of managers have realized the fundamental role of knowledge in seeking competitive advantages and strategic goals of organizations. However, if the infrastructure and processes of organization is not appropriate for implementing KM, human and financial resources will be wasted. Therefore, it is essential that organizations evaluate their readiness in this area before any action. In fact, KM readiness assessment indicates the current status of KM in organization and also shows necessary changes to improve its capabilities. Readiness assessment will be possible by identifying critical success factors of KM or KM frameworks and maturity models. In this article by focusing on the critical success factors, success factors of KM has been extracted by reviewing related papers over 14 years. Then, the factors are prioritized as "knowledge strategy, CEO support and commitment, performance measurement, structures, organizational learning, investment, culture of knowlege sharing, motivation, collaboration, communication and teamworking, technical infrastructures, operation integration, and security"
