  • Description: This investigation involved in-depth analyses of 10 discrete dimensions of quality of life in Rochester, NY: urban sprawl, education, economy, cost of living, population health, health care services, public safety, transportation, taxation, and individual wealth & poverty. Changes in Rochester's quality of life were tracked over time. In addition, Rochester's performance was compared with that in 19 other comparable metropolitan areas throughout the country. Our analysis shows that, of the 20 regions, Rochester obtained the highest average overall score on the ten different dimensions of quality of life in 2004
