This thesis describes the design and development of bioreducible poly(amido amine)s as non-viral vectors for gene delivery in vitro and in vivo. The structural influences of these polymers on their physico-chemical properties and gene delivery properties, transfection capability and cytotoxicity in vitro are discussed in detail. Preliminary results on in vivo gene delivery to ovarian cancer cells with the bioreducible poly(amido amine)s are also described.
