  • Description: Due to the increased concern on the environmental issues, the desulfurization process in fuel is of great importance in the recent years. Herein, a series of decavanadate-based poly(ionic liquids) with different alkyl chain length were successfully designed with a facile ion exchange method, and applied in aerobic oxidative desulfurization of refractory sulfur compounds in fuels. The prepared catalysts exhibited high catalytic activity on DBT, which could reach 98.8% under optimal conditions as well as good desulfurization performance on different sulfur compounds. Based on various characterization and experimental results, the structure-function relationship and proposed mechanism were investigated in detail
