Description:
In this work, microwave-assisted synthesis method was successfully applied to prepare amino-functionalized Zr-based metal-organic polyhedron (denoted as MW-ZrT-1-NH 2 ) for the first time. Compared with the traditional solvothermal method, the reaction time was reduced from 12 h to 2 min, leading to crystalline products with high yield and purity. In addition, MW-ZrT-1-NH 2 was selected as a photocatalyst for the catalytic reduction of Cr(VI) under visible light. The results revealed that MW-ZrT-1-NH 2 exhibits high water stability and outstanding photocatalytic performance for Cr(VI) reduction. Furthermore, a plausible photocatalytic mechanism was proposed via electron spin resonance (ESR) determination and radical trapping tests
