  • Description: In Galatians 4:21-5:1 Paul uses the strategy of two opposing covenants. He creates two opposing symbolic universes of slavery and freedom, linked to the two sons of Abraham, to dissuade his readers form seeking righteousness through works of the law, and to persuade them to remain in the freedom of God's grace. Different rhetorical techniques employed by him to reach these goals, are indicated.
