This paper reviews past structural adjustment policies aimed at economic liberalization and suggests these must be reformed for the sake of better global integration and poverty reduction. It recommends reforms be made to structural adjustment policies to ensure a better economic globalization. The suggestions concern human development and how theses policies should be characterized. Overall the aim of each stabilization and structural adjustment programme should be to improve the human condition to truly achieve beneficial human development.
