  • Description: English, the language of the professional world across the globe, has gained a special status of lingua franca in many countries due to its potential to keep the wheels of the world turn. The desire to learn this language is a common take amongst all. The students of management courses have a genuine inclination towards learning this language for obvious reasons of being well placed in a multinational company. But, developing a language skill may not be a cake walk for all, more of so in a region where that language is treated as the third language, placed after the mother tongue (usually the regional dialects) and the official language (Hindi). It is quite evident that the lack of opportunities to learn English, disinterest towards learning a new language and the faulty teaching methodologies adopted in the teaching of a language can be some of the major reasons behind the poor proficiency level of the learners of English . Integration of ICT in English Language Teaching has been a recent trend amongst the teachers of English language. It aims at enhancing the language proficiency of a learner while retaining their interest level. However, there are barriers which the teachers face in bringing this to practice. For the purpose of narrowing down to the purview of this study, some recent studies were reviewed, which have shown that how integration of technology can impact the learning of English and also the challenges which they face in integrating ICT in ELT classrooms. The present study attempts to investigate the perception of the English teachers about integrating ICT in ELT classrooms in the select districts of Bihar. The sample was collected from Darbhanga and Madhubani districts of Bihar and results were drawn both qualitatively and quantitatively
