  • Description: Increasing the number of entrepreneurs and the quality of entrepreneurship is crucial due to their positive influence on economic activity. For this reason, a better understanding of the factors that determine entrepreneurship is of utmost importance. This paper develops a model that includes those factors which affect the enterprising intention of students in the field of tourism. A theoretical approach has been used, based on intentional theory from a perspective of higher education. A survey using a sample of 122 tourism students has been used – including both postgraduate and undergraduate students. While our analysis suggests that curricular and extracurricular activities have a different effect on the intentions, attitudes and capacities to develop business projects, the results show a low impact of these activities on business competences
