  • Description: The project KomVok (Media-supported promotion of professional competencies in the field of classroom singing practice) deals with the theory-driven development of digital (self-)learning materials for primary teachers in the general music classroom. Special consideration is given to those who are teaching music out-of-field. The KomVok material is designed to foster both music practical skills and professional knowledge about voice care and singing in primary music education. The present paper deals with domain specific design criteria for instructional videos that aim to promote musical skills in song accompaniment on the piano or guitar. Basic con siderations of goals, content, methods, and domain specific aspects of video design features are outlined, as well as limitations of this approach.
