  • Description: Diana is an environmental engineer interested in the effects of environmental change in infectious disease dynamics. During the 2023 MOOD Summer School, she hosted a session on SDM. Students were introduced to a method for species distribution modeling called boosted regression tree (BRT) approach. A tutorial was provided and the BRT method was explained using data on West Nile virus cases in Europe obtained from the Padi-web platform, which Kyla Serres explained in brief. The tutorial allowed us to load and explore the disease and associated environmental data
