  • Description: In the past decade, institutions, researchers and professionals all around the world have designed surveys with the aim of defining a metric for measuring financial literacy. However, the topic is still under discussion due to the complexity of the definition of financial literacy. In this paper, we review the main international and Italian surveys capturing financial literacy across different target groups: young people, adults and entrepreneurs. We analyse in detail the way financial literacy is defined and measured. We also report all the information gathered in each survey with a special focus on digital skill indicators, which are increasingly important in a rapidly changing financial landscape driven by digital technology
