  • Description: This report reviews the scientific literature to situate the problems of Aboriginal peoples within the larger context of suicide in Canadian society so as to identify those features that are shared in common with the dominant society and those that are distinctive for Aboriginal groups. Issues examined include cultural and historical factors along with economic problems, geographical differences, community size, and development of infrastructure to support the community.
