  • Description: The aim of the XP-DITE project is to develop, demonstrate and validate a comprehensive, passenger-centred approach to the design and evaluation of integrated security airport checkpoints (ACPs). As part of the validation activities, two field tests were performed, one at Scarabee, The Netherlands, and one at Shannon Airport, Ireland. For both field tests, extensive planning ensured that relevant research ethical risks were identified in advance so that the test plans could be adapted accordingly and risks minimized. The present report documents the details of how research ethical aspects were considered and how identified risks were mitigated.
