Es werden Strom- und Temperaturmessungen der Ostsee von fünf Stationen (Abb. 1) nach den Methoden von J. FUHRICH und J. W. TUKEY analysiert. Die Energiespektren der internen Bewegungen der Ostsee deuten generell auf diskrete Schwingungsvorgänge hin und haben keine Ähnlichkeit mit dem Spektrum der homogenen isotropen Turbulenz. Die analysierten langen Perioden lassen sich den Seiches und der Trägheitsschwingung zuordnen. Im kurzperiodischen Teil tritt eine starke Unruhe auf. Im mittleren Teil des Spektrums findet man für nahezu alle Regionen der Ostsee eine 5h bis 6h Welle. Current- and temperature records on five positions in the Baltic are analysed by the methods of J. FUHRICH and J. W. TUKEY. The spectra show energy concentrations at distinct periods and are not similar to the spectrum of homogeneous isotropic turbulence. The analysed long periods are interpreted as those of the seiches and the inertial oscillations. A 5h - 6h period generally occurs and may be clue to crossoscillations of the Baltic. At the short periodic end of the spectrum between 1,5m and 30m, we find a very diffusive and variable energy band which can be interpreted as stability oscillations with the VÄISÄLÄ-period as their lower limit.
