  • Description: The article presents the results of 2D and 3D formulation finite element analysis of glass surface scratching process using single abrasive grain. Johnson-Holmquist model JH-2 was chosen to describe the brittle behavior of the glass material. The cracked layer depth for a given depth penetration of grain and scratching speed were obtained.
