  • Description: <jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>The structure of the slurry stone wide-silt gravity dam is complicated. It is difficult to find out the true stresses and strains of its overflow dam section by material mechanics. The finite element method is adopted to analyze the stresses and strains of the wide-slit overflow dam section before and after reinforcement implementation. And comparative analysis of stress and strain changes before and after reinforcement. Provide an effective basis for dam reinforcement design[1][2].</jats:p>
