Description:
AbstractA study of citations of scientific periodicals in technical reports prepared by the staff of an industrial research laboratory indicates that there exists a Bradford set of periodicals for a multidisciplinary library, and that the size and contents of the set have at least short‐term stability. The effect on library coverage of varying the extent to which the Bradford set is held was determined. A discard policy based upon a single aging factor does not appear to be very well suited to a multidisciplinary library.
