  • Description: AbstractHuman lymphocyte transformation was induced using cells from normal subjects and 19S human anti‐γ globulin preparations (rheumatoid factors). Considerable variation in the degree of lymphocyte stimulation using 19S human anti‐γ globulins and lymphocytes from normal donors was noted when identical experiments were repeated at 1 to 3 week intervals. When human 19S anti‐γ globulin factors were compared with 7S rabbit antibodies to human γ globulins, a much greater lymphocyte‐stimulating effect was noted with rabbit antisera. When an individual donor's lymphocytes were serially tested using rabbit antibody to human γG globulin as stimulating reagent, some correlation was noted between the amount of leukocyte‐associated γG and relative degrees of stimulation.
