  • Description: AbstractDeactivation of Pd‐Cr bimetallic nanopaticles supported on NH2‐functionalized MIL‐101 in dehydrogenation of formic acid is studied. Results show that the catalyst cannot be reused more than three times because the concentration of carbon monoxide in the gaseous product will exceed 10 ppm. When the catalyst is used for the first time, the turnover frequency of the active metal Pd is the highest. With an increase of catalyst utilization times, the turnover frequency decreases. The reason for the reduction in catalyst activity is agglomeration of Pd and Cr atoms on the outer surface of the catalyst, not because the active component, Pd, is being lost.
