<jats:p>The study by Colonna and colleagues in this issue describes many epidemiologic investigations that have provided estimates of <jats:italic>cancer cure</jats:italic>. Evidence of the possibility of cancer cure grows and lays the groundwork to encourage clinicians to update cancer care plans and long‐term follow‐up.</jats:p>
