<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>Optimum conditions for the preparation of non wedge‐shaped KDP and DKDP crystals have been studied. The effect of p<jats:sub>H</jats:sub> of the crystallisation solution, cation admixtures and speed of agitation on the quality of crystals is presented. The working procedures for the preparation of non wedge‐shaped crystals of both species are given.</jats:p>
