The strategy of measurement is presented to avoid all effects influencing the integrated intensities of X‐ray powder diffraction as primary extinction, preferred orientation and surface roughness effect. This paper deals with application of this method to the determination of the deviation from stoichiometry of TiC1−x compounds.
