The task has been used to examine cognitive control deficits in several neuropsychiatric conditions, most notably schizophrenia. This commentary summarizes recent evidence from antisaccade tasks in mood and anxiety disorders, with reference to neuropsychological models and psychopharmacological mechanisms.
