• Description:
Abstract
For the first time thermoluminescence peaks corresponding to a hyperbolic heating function are studied in a model which takes into account not only the existence of thermally disconnected deep traps but also their interactions with the conduction band through the capture of electrons. The predictions of the present model are compared with those of other existing models, which are special cases of the present one. It is found that the Kirsh method, which is always valid, is applicable to all the models considered in the present paper. The quality of simulation of glow peaks is further tested by a rigorous method of curve fitting. The strong variation of the order of kinetics in the different models considered is due to the shift of the order of kinetics with dose. (© 2006 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
