Description:
AbstractMass magnetic susceptibility of iron‐rhenium alloys containing 0.6, 1.6, 3,2, and 7.2 at% rhenium have been studied in the f.c.c. phase up to 1500 °K. Their magnetic behavior cannot be described by the Curie‐Weiss law. The 1/(χT) vs. 1/T plots, where χ is the magnetic susceptibility and T the absolute temperature, reveal indirectly that the antiferromagnetic character of f.c.c. iron is not altered by alloying with rhenium.
