Description:
AbstractThe eight independent piezoresistance coefficients of tellurium single crystals containing acceptors with concentrations from 5.8 × 1014 cm−3 to 4.9 × 1017 cm−3 are measured. In the extrinsic region all coefficients are independent of temperature. This contradicts a many‐valley structure of the valence band. The anisotropy of the piezoresistance effect is strongly affected by structural defects.
