<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title><jats:p>The syntheses of three triaza‐analogues of four‐ring aromatic hydrocarbons: chino‐[5,6‐c]cinnoline <jats:bold>5</jats:bold>, 4,5,10‐triazychrysene <jats:bold>10</jats:bold> and 1,5,12‐triazabenzo[c]phenanthrene <jats:bold>12</jats:bold> are presented and their UV spectra discussed. These compounds were obtained from the appropriate amines by the S<jats:sc>KRAUP</jats:sc> method.</jats:p>
