Description:
Analyses of hydrologic data from high‐intensity short‐duration storms on very small drainage areas having varying physical characteristics indicated that a 1‐minute unit hydrograph could be used as the basis for generting runoff from an effective rainstorm input. The single parameter of the unit hydrograph (time constant K) was shown to be related to the physical characteristics of the drainage area. No evidence of the correlation between K and the storm pattern was discovered. Procedures are given for estimating net storm inputs.
