The solubility limit of Fe-ion in CrO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> and the properties of (Cr<jats:sub>1-<jats:italic>x</jats:italic>

</jats:sub>)O<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> were examined. Added Fe-ions dissolve into CrO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> and form an oxide of (Cr<jats:sub>1-2<jats:italic>x</jats:italic>

<jats:sup>4+</jats:sup>Cr<jats:sub>
<jats:italic>x</jats:italic>
</jats:sub>
<jats:sup>5+</jats:sup>Fe<jats:sub>
<jats:italic>x</jats:italic>
</jats:sub>
<jats:sup>3+</jats:sup>)O<jats:sub>2</jats:sub>, up to the <jats:italic>x</jats:italic>-value of about 0.06. The T<jats:sub>
<jats:italic>c</jats:italic>
</jats:sub> increases from 116°C for the pure CrO<jats:sub>2</jats:sub> to about 155°C with an Fe-addition of <jats:italic>x</jats:italic>=0.06. The magnetic moments of Fe<jats:sup>3+</jats:sup> and Cr<jats:sup>5+</jats:sup> couple in anti-parallel way to that of Cr<jats:sup>4+</jats:sup>.
