<jats:p>Good communication skills are very important for any professional career. But few computer science curricula provide courses to acquire these skills.This paper describes a "conference course," which was held at our department to address research, technical writing and presentation skills. We outline the experiment, discuss our experiences, and present a proposal for a follow-up course.</jats:p>
